Bank of New Hampshire has been wonderful to work with and are always extremely willing to go the extra mile. The online experience is also very streamlined and up to date. Most banks have less than functional websites to work with, but Bank of NH isn't one of them. I have a checking account, a business account and a savings account with this bank, and I have never experienced any problems with any of them. From my experience, everything here is conducted in the most professional manner, while still remaining warm and a part of this small community. When I come into the bank, the staff recognizes me and treats me very well. There are also no fees for opening the accounts; they may only ask for a small deposit into the account which is great! Overall, this is most definitely the best bank in NH, and probably in the surrounding states.

I needed to open an account and wanted to support a small local bank. I am glad that I chose this bank. It was for a non-profit that I am part of. The paperwork took a little longer because of a non-profit. She was apologetic and polite the entire time. When I go into the bank to make a deposit, there was no line and the teller was very friendly.

I have been with Bank of NH for a few years and have been pleased with their service so far. Their fees are average if not a bit more competitive with other banks. I am always greeted when I walk in to do my banking. They make sure my needs are met and usually tell me of any updates that I can make to my account to make it more productive for me. I enjoy their phone app. It is easy to navigate and manage my accounts. I can also keep an eye on my kids accounts and make transfers over to them if they need it. Drive through service always is a pleasant experience, especially when I have a lot of errands to run, it is nice that I can get the same service at a drive through then I do inside.

I was a customer for 38 years - and finally decided to close the account - due to a letter I received saying they would start charging $6 a month for the account unless certain minimums. They don't pay hardly any interest on savings account, but can spend millions changing Logo and building new bank. But the worst part was I went in to close a joint checking account, and all I needed was account number. They did not ask for any ID o or for my wife who was on the account - it seems like a bug security hole. They never asked why I was leaving or anything.

The branch staff are nice and I have had several "Prestige" accounts here for some time. BUT after selling my boat I received a Bank of America, CASHIERS check. Bank of New Hampshire put a 6 business day hold on the CASHIERS check which in effect is a 10 day hold. I called many times and offices but BoNH follows their software application which recommended the hold. Their local competitors all said they MAX out on a 2 DAY hold for even an out of state CASHIERS check. TOTALLY UNREASONABLE.
