I called this branch to find out what their rates were for a CD and got a very friendly and knowledgeable person answering my questions. I decided to go ahead and open a CD with them and when I went to the branch my account was opened by the same person I had talked to on the phone. Their rates for what I was doing are higher than the mega banks and their customer service is way better than my current bank (Wells Fargo). They did not try and sell me anything else and seemed glad to have the new business. It felt personal here, not corporate. As I said I am new with this bank, but so far, so good. I am happy with the service, rates and overall experience.

I went to bank of the Ozarks eight year ago when I moved to a new city for college and I haven't looked back. Bank of the Ozarks is my primary account for both checking and savings. What sets them apart is the amazing customer service. I can walk into my local branch and the tellers know my name which make me feel great. There checking account offers many great benefits like identity theft protection and life insurance. Overall this is the best bank in my region.

I initially opened a checking account with this bank when it was Community and Southern Bank. They were bought out by Bank of the Ozarks about 2 yrs. ago. I have had nothing but excellent service from this bank. When I opened my checking account I was given a free safe deposit box for one year. I can go online and transfer funds between checking and savings and between banks easily. The joy of banking locally is apparent every time I go to the lobby. The tellers fill out my deposit slips and know me by first name. I draw a small interest from my debit transactions and they even notorized documents for me once, no charge. Foreign ATM fees are refunded back to my account. I use direct deposit so there is no monthly fee. This is a great bank.
