We have been banking with Community Commerce Bank for over 14 years now. My husband and I both started out with this bank separately, but knew that it would be easy to stay with them (I even worked for them for awhile). They have been great when you have to speak with a rep over the phone or even friendly if you see them in person. Their rates are pretty comparable to other banks, but again since we have banked with them for so long, we choose to continue to stay with them. We have had instances where when our account was compromised, they were there for us and helped us every step of the way. They granted us funds right away and we never had to call, hassling someone or even speak to managers. We have checking accounts, savings accounts, a safety deposit box and even a 529 plan on their brokerage side! Although they have several branches, we have our chosen few that we choose to visit and do business with. Their online banking experience is easy to navigate and not overwhelming at all. When we have experienced a short time with fees and such, they have been happy to reverse those, as we do everything we can to keep our account in good standing! Overall, we are extremely happy with the customer service, the quick responses that we receive if we call and the wonderful atmosphere when you walk through the door! I have been banking with Commerce, or one of its predecessor institutions, since I was a child, and I have never had reason to leave due to its excellent customer service. The representatives, both tellers and "sit down " representatives, have always been courteous and efficient. They have even bent over backwards to help me on several occasions. One occasion was when I had a money transfer to a small bank in a small Asian country, they helped me track down the banking information. Another time I deposited a check payable to me whose account information got mangled in the automatic teller machine. The Commerce Bank representative took the time to contact her back office, figure out what the correct account number should be, and manually process it so it would go through -- all for a $26.60 check. They cheerfully refunded the returned check fee since it wasn't my fault, all to retain a long term customer. Commerce Bank has a home town feel and a great attitude toward customer service.

Commerce Bank has provided excellent customer service via their tellers, personal bank representatives, and phone customer service. I have found their website easy to use for checking balances and transferring funds (although the security check does appear fairly often.) I have generally not used their HELOC/home equity loans, however, as they seem to be a bit higher rate than other banks. Good number of locations, including non-branch ATMs; however not as many as I'd like.

Community Commerce Bank is a pretty standard banking option across America. With the influx of negative reviews for all banks, and good reviews for credit unions, you might think Commerce would be one of the bad apples in the finance sector, but for all typical processes of a bank (checking and savings account transactions), it it pretty solid. I have never really had a problem with customer service, and all deposit/withdrawal transactions have worked to my liking. One thing I think could be improved is their online account verification system. They use the standard verification formats (Mother's maiden name, first pet, etc), but if you choose to 'save password', you pretty much hit enter twice for your credentials, then enter this verification code with the same frequency as you would be entering your password anyways. It's pretty redundant in that regard, but in all other aspects, Commerce is great in that I do not notice them. In a world of everyone getting outraged by fees and bad reporting, having a bank that you don't notice is great.
