I've had an interest checking account here since 2012. It has been reliable and pays better than anyone else nearby. I have found deposits and transfers complete faster than many others, and checks are not deducted from the account until they clear, which adds days of interest. I have found the employees to be responsive and helpful. I do not plan to stop using this account when I leave the area. There may be better accounts nationwide, but there can't be many.

I was on the phone with a customer service woman for forty minutes attempting to set a monthly automatic money transfer to my daughter. I had attempted this numerous times online but was unsuccessful. The customer service women repeatedly walked me thought the steps supposedly required to do it online, all of which resulted in the same error message. She suggested that there was another way to do it but that way was unacceptable. She then said she may be able to do it if I changed my password. That too was unacceptable. She then said that money transfers were causing trouble for the bank and that she could possibly help if I provided additional information regarding the account to which I waned to transfer money and to call her when that information was available. Maybe the bank's problems would be solved at that time. I called her private number and left a message. No return call was received. I will probably change banks because in addition to this problem, the bank demands that I occasionally change passwords which is bluntly, a royal pain in the ass. With a 13 digit password, it is very difficult to remember slight variations. Goodbye
