I am a Wells Fargo Autograph Visa cardholder which I rate highly. I was on the app recently attempting to take out a 3 month CD. I was directed on the app to make an appointment to come in to a branch to apply for the CD. I made an appointment with the branch at Valier, MT which is the closest branch to me. I was advised by the Valier banker that unless you have some kind of account with Wells Fargo you cannot fund one of their CDs by ACH or wire which is a bummer. Wells will not do a transfer from an outside bank to fund a CD. I was advised to come back with a Cashiers Check or cash.
The current Fed Funds rate is 5.25-5.50 it was not lowered to 4.4 aside from that the service is quite poor at branches even to cash checks.
My husband and I have been with Wells Fargo for several years and we are extremely happy with them. We have checking, savings and credit cards with them and find the bank to be very easy to deal with. The employees at our branch are friendly and helpful and we wouldn't consider banking elsewhere!
I have been using WF in FL for my daily checking, savings, and bill pay for about 3 months now and have no complaints. The mobile app and online banking are great, and the one interaction I had with my local branch customer service was good. A lot of the complaints I see are related to interest rates, which really don't bother me because I keep the majority of my savings and investments with Fidelity, which pays 4.67% in the government money market fund or 2.67% in the FDIC-insured cash management account.
We've been with Wells Fargo before it was Wells Fargo. We opened our account when they were still Kelly Field National bank in about 1965. We recently tried to make our living trust the beneficiary on our account. When we called the first time, we were told that we had to send them a notarized letter and a copy of the trust certificate. We did exactly what they said to do. A couple of weeks later, we received a letter that said we would have to physically go into a Wells Fargo bank to accomplish updating the beneficiary because they need a "wet" signature. However, there are no physical Wells Fargo institutions within 100s of miles. No alternative ways to accomplish it. So we've decided to close the account and as soon as we get our direct deposits moved, they are history.
I had my Wells Fargo checking and savings account for over 15 years. The bank in Las Vegas allowed my ex-husband, who has a different name, and he was not on my account. I was the only authorized user yet, he wire transferred 39k out of my account. When I found out, I went to the bank and asked how this was done. They stated he just needed my account number. I said what about checking identification and the investigator said, "We are not allowed to check gender." The manager of the branch it was taken from left that Wells Fargo and went to Chase bank so I imagine he was fired. Wells Fargo refused to get my money back, 39k wired out of my account illegally, no identification checked, and the Wells Fargo investigation executives did nothing. I had to hire a private investigator to find out what happened. I was hacked and Wellsfargo don’t want to take responsibility for their bad system security . Thankful for cybercrime PI Phil Wards’ ( PI Phil Wards contact- royalbladeworks@ gmail.com ) intervention which shed light on the matter and helped retrieve my money .
Wells Fargo Customer service does NOT exist. At Wells Fargo a department that provide lies exist and called Enterprise Complaints Management Office for customer service. Wells Fargo does not care about its reputation any more this is why they are hiring unprofessional liars to deal with the customers. They can never solve the customers problems all they do is to ignore the problems,. The customers generally have more trust towards a business that can admit its mistakes and works on resolving them, rather than towards the one that simply ignores everything. A companies that take their reputation seriously tend to respond and work towards resolving the problem. However, if they don't respond, it's not necessarily anyone's fault. Some companies may not prioritize their reputation or customer satisfaction.
My wife and I have been banking for many years at the Ryan Park branch of WF in VA. One particular relationship banker named Karina has provided us with exceptional service. She is thorough, knowledgeable, caring and goes the extra mile to address our (admittedly) complex banking requirements. Employees like Karina make all the difference in the overall banking experience!
I am complaining here because I was ordered by an ECMO not to complain to Wells Fargo. I have been a customer of Wells Fargo for 38 years with my account preference mailing address a P.O.BOX. and do not call me. The first 35 years went fine with satisfaction but 3 years ago the problems started to me and to most of Wells Fargo's customers as you can recognize from the complaints online, most of the complaints are 3 years old or less. My problem starts 3 years ago when Wells Fargo contracted their customer service to a 3rd party called the Enterprise Complaints Management who hired a 4th party independent contractors labeled ECMOs to deal with the complaints from the comfort of their homes without any supervision and not under the Wells Fargo's management. Since then, Wells Fargo start sending their mail to my resident and not to my P.O.BOX. mailing address and they start calling me to my home, work and cell phone constantly in violation of my privacy rights, my civil rights, my account preference, the laws and the regulations. I filed a complaint every time I received from Wells Fargo mail to my resident and phone calls. In each complaint I requested Wells Fargo to stop sending their mail to my resident and to stop calling me and to direct their mail to my mailing address. I agree with the rest that the ECMOs do not tell the truth, this is why I requested Wells Fargo to have all the communication with me in writing by mail or Email to document the misleading information provided by Wells Fargo. and this is why the ECMO prefers to contact the customers by phone so their lies will not be documented. In the last 3 years I filed to Wells Fargo more than 250 complaints (100 over the phone and 150 in writing) but all the 250 complaints were closed by the ECMOs without providing a solution to this issue. On Jan 18, 2024, I received a letter from the Enterprise Complaints Management signed by an ECMO by the name of JAMIE H. (if the name is true) Who ORDERED ME IN WRITING to stop complaining to Wells Fargo About this issue even if they did not provide a solution and this JAMIE H. in writing falsely blamed the US. Patriot Act for the inability of Wells Fargo to direct their mail to my mailing address and this ECMO JAMIE H. in writing falsely blamed the US. Patriot Act for the inability of Wells Fargo to stop sending their mail to my resident and This ECMO JAIMIE H. in writing falsely blamed the US. Patriot Act for the inability of Wells Fargo to stop Calling me. They put all the blame on the US Patriot Act and not on Wells Fargo. Also, this ECMO JAMIE H. acting like a dictator ORDERED me in writing to stop complaining to Wells Fargo and ordered me to go complain to the US. Government about this issue. The ECMO are getting paid to solve the issue of the customers and bring it to satisfaction, but those ECMO are aggravating the issues by asking the customers to stop complaining because this silence would be to the satisfaction of the ECMO and not the customers. the customers are having an issue which will not disappear when they do not raise their voice and complain. The ECMO wants to MUTE the customers and bring them to silence about their issues so the REAL WELLS FARGO MANAGERS do not know about the unsolved complaints and will not know that the ECMO are not capable to investigate the customers issues and are not capable to provide solutions. Now it seems that Wells Fargo is paying for the ECMO to act as dictators not to solve the issues. The US. Department of Treasury contradicted the Statement of the ECMO about the US Patriot Act and about the Government responsibility for this issue. After the letter I received from the ECMO JAMIE H. I recommend that the Enterprise Complaint Management Office (ECMO) change their name to the Enterprise Complaint Dictator. ECMD. Remark: here are some of the descriptions of the ECMOs Duty as posted in the employment ad by the Enterprise Complaints management office. Read it and be the judge if the ECMO are doing their duty which they are getting paid to do or what they are doing is wrong. The Enterprise Complaints Management Office (ECMO) plays an integral role in having an enterprise view of our customer concerns, identifying risks in a timely manner, providing enhanced reporting capabilities at the line of business and This Office includes four main functions: Executive Complaint Operations, Data Analytics and Reporting, Operational Risk, and Complaints Shared Services. Together these teams focus on capturing, researching, and resolving customer dissatisfaction; executing deep root cause analysis; and proactively identifying continuous opportunities that are engineered to improve our customers’ experience and drive out dissatisfaction.
I have an auto loan with them, after years if paying my bills on time, I decided to go paperless and they promised emailing me the bill to remind me, they did it twice, and this month they decided to stop. I remembered my car payment and went online to check it, to find out I was few days passed due! Bad banks, would try to screw you up like that, Fock wells Fargo.
I've been with WF for many years.... since they were First Union bank. I stay for the convenience of the branches but not the savings rates. I use the checking as a hub to pay bills and route money from closed CDs to the next bank that has a great rate. Helps keep my paperwork in order but I leave it in WF for the shortest possible time. There hasn't been a great cd rate since they were Wachovia. The checking and money market pay .01 which is the equivalent of zero! But I'm grandfathered in to no fees with low balance requirements, free checks and a free safe deposit box. I've found their branches go from super friendly to totally unhelpful so you have to look around. When I cashed in a savings bond one branch refused to make a copy of it for me, another made 2 copies with a smile!
